Sabrina, I found you!

A long, long time ago I met a girl named Sabrina. We became friends in the 3rd grade. Her parents moved away from our tiny town when we were in High school so she Graduated somewhere else and I lost track of her.

But then as fate would have it, we went to the same college and were roommates. She became my best friend. She came home with me on weekends to torment my mom;) Oh my gosh she made me laugh so Hard! We did everything together. She was my shoulder to cry on. I had never had a friend I trusted so much.

We had loads of fun in choir!

She played in the band........................

....and I was a cheerleader. Don't laugh.

She was even my Maid of Honor at my wedding. I lost track of her after that. The next time I saw her was 3 years later at my baby shower. And then being the terrible friend I am, I lost her again. I would try and send Christmas cards to her parents address in hopes that they would forward them on to Sabrina. I still never heard anything.

I've literally Googled her name once a week since then in efforts to find her somewhere, but nothing. Then I joined face book this week and found her sister. So I sent her a message and she told me where Sabrina lived. I looked online for her phone number and found it. I called it immediately and she answered! Ya!! We talked for about an hour. She seems so happy with her little family, I can't wait to go see her.
Even after all these years I still consider her one of my best friends.

U-G-L-Y you ain't got no alibi!

Like many women and teenage girls out there I too have become addicted Gossip Girl. Jarred surprised me by coming home for lunch today and caught me watching an episode I had recorded earlier. He then asked me why I liked the show and I literally had NO idea what to tell him. The guys are completely unattractive with the exception of Chace Crawford(Nate) and the girls aren't much better. Blake Lively(Serena) only has One look and I hate Leighton Meester's(Blair) chin fat. Jessica Szohr(Vanessa) is beautiful however and they need to show more of her. And whatever happened to Georgina(Michelle Trachtenberg). I'm a newbie so I missed that season. Well I'm hooked so I guess looks don't really make or break a show.

Oh what a beautiful Morning.........

My little darlings were up bright and early this morning trying to get the most of daddy's attention before he headed off to work. I however tried to get the most of my fluffy down comforter and king-sized bed before I was forced to share it with two energetic super heroes. This morning however, there was no evil to be conquered in the master suite so they occupied themselves in front of any early morning movie instead.

Shortly after Jarred vacated the premises I received a phone call from my beloved informing me of the temperature outside. A Glorious 53 degrees! So, being the over-reactor that I am this meant pants, jackets, and beanies for thing one and thing two. I was finally able to wear my new long sleeved shirt I bought on sale last spring and the cute hat my mom-in-law bought me last Christmas. Hurray! I'm sure it will probably be at least 80 degrees when I go pick Oliver up and then he'll be mad at about the beanie and jacket. I'll probably be back to my usual outfit of khaki shorts and a T-shirt, but the chill was fun while it lasted. Notice I said "chill" not cold. I hate cold. Chill is different. Chill has the possibility if getting warmer, cold on the other hand does not. Chill also makes me want to sleep, and I'm not the only one it does that to.

This is what Simon did as soon as we got back home from walking Oliver. I guess he was just so comfortable in his warm clothes and jammies that he couldn't help it. Plus he was wearing Olivers I-pod and head phones. With that combination no wonder he succumbed. I would have too, but there was a dirty kitchen harassing me that I had to take care of.
I should probably go exercise now before this Chilly weather makes me lazy and I get fat.

I forgot to tell you.........

Due to the fact that my nearly two year old has thrown away one of my handsets and I can't seem to find or hear the remaining one I have decided to get rid of my home phone. Not to mention the fact that we're in a freakin' recession here so we gotta cut cost somewhere and I'm not ready to get rid of Dish yet. Anyway, Jarred canceled our phone service about 3 weeks ago, so sorry for all the confusion if you tried to call and were directed to his cell number. If you don't have my cell number email me and I'll give it to you....ktruschke at gmail dot com. Got it? Good.

I'm pretty sure I exist.....

So I'm a little confused. I had Jarred try to register me to vote tonight at our current address and he said it wouldn't let him. The website says I Don't exist. Now that can't be right. If I don't exist then I wouldn't be sitting here at this very moment typing, and if there was no ME then there would be no pimple on my chin and there is in fact one there so I must exist. Right? I know, I know I should have tried to register sooner so that if there was a problem I could go in somewhere and fix it. I didn't though and now here it is two ours before the deadline to register and I can't do it. So sorry prop. 102 and 100, I would have liked to vote YES for you, but I guess I can't. As far as President goes, I don't think I would have voted for that one anyway. Surely I'm not the only one disappointed in the choices we have placed before us. It's like someone asking, "Do you want ketchup on your pie, or syrup on you corn dog?" Umm........neither. I like Mustard on my corn dog and ice cream on my pie, but no one is offering that so I'll just pass Thanks.

Doesn't this just make you smile?

On Oliver's picture day, after our argument over what he should wear, I told him to make sure and smile real big for the camera.

And he sure did. I just love this picture. It makes my day every time I see it!
