Simon-isms...

Today was "date day" for Simon-face and I. We go once a week and try to do different things. Today we went to the mall. On our way inside the mall our conversation went like this.
Me: Man it's sure hot out here, huh Simon?
Simon: Ya, the sun is burning my nipples.

I love the things this kid says! When we got home from the mall we had another conversation. I was pulling up my belly band back over my growing belly. Simon looked over at me and said, "Mom, I love your big belly with a baby in it. It makes you so, so pretty!" He always surprises me with the sweetest things, but still stays true to his little boy self. My most favorite thing is how he loves to be scared. He loves people jumping out to scare him or walking into a dark room and saying "WaHahahaha." Something he always says after he gets a little "fright" is, "Whoa, you scared me out of my crap!" A friend told me I needed to write this stuff down so I don't forget it. Write it down? Nah, blog it so it can be out there forever in internet history:o)

my Cute boy!

My mother in law sent this to me June of 2010 and I just found it in my email so I thought I would post it for all to see:o) We went to Pinnacle Peak in Tucson for My BIL Jonny's birthday. Fun Place. You should go if you haven't.

The Sabbath day and the Devil Car

Sometimes you just need to take a day off. My dear husband reminded me of that today. I woke up feeling not very good, but proceeded to get ready for church. He asked me what I was doing and told me I was allowed to take days off. I thought about it for a minute and realized I no longer had responsibilities to fulfill at church, so I did what anyone else would do. I took the day off, but only if Jarred didn't. I made him take the boys to church. As I sat on the couch after they left I began to think of all the things I forgot to do Saturday, namely pick up something to make for dinner. So I decided I would go get something, but when I got out to Jarred's car I discovered it was out of gas. I decided to go get some before I went to the store. His car was also completely filthy so when the pump asked if I wanted a car wash for $5 I of course pushed the "YES" button. I proceeded on to the car wash and entered my given code and began to pull forward. That's when I got the SHOCK of the year. Upon entering the wash, the windows sensing something was about to happen, immediately rolled half way down. Knowing the water was gonna spray me in seconds I screamed profanity and tried to roll them up, but they rolled down all the way this time. The water sprayed me one way and then the other. Just as the soap got to the rear view mirrors the windows randomly rolled up. I barely missed the soap in the face. Well I left there dripping wet and went to the store anyway, where I got dinner and made it home with a few minutes to rest before my Boys came home. So much for a relaxing day off. I guess that's what I get for not keeping the Sabbath day Holy. Lesson learned.

Too Hot to Have Hair!

Oliver Surprised me today and said he wanted a haircut. I was hot and tired but I've been trying to get him and Simon to cut their hair all Summer long so I wasn't about to turn him down. It's been too hot here for the kids to go out for recess. He finally got some much needed activity when soccer practice started Wednesday. I guess after that he made up his mind to corner Mom and get her to cut it. I knew if I gave Oliver one Simon would want one too. This is the mess of hair from both my boys. I measured the pieces from Oliver's cut and they were 4inches! Simon's were not quite 3inches but they both had a ton!
Here's my Handsome man posing for his Before shot.
He had to have a back view too.
Then it was Simon's turn. He was a little reluctant since he kind of enjoyed his "Beiber -do." Oliver was very convincing tho so he had to be just like big brother.
Before
And he needed a back shot too!

So here's the After pose
More Posing...

I wanted to do something different and have this be his After, but Oliver didn't agree.
So here's the real After pose
And of course he had to have another back shot.

They LOVED their new haircuts and even Jarred admitted they looked so much better. I just can't handle the boys having long hair during the hot months. So glad I have boys and not girls. I love my sweet handsome boys. Can't wait for #3!
